I am also interested in learning. What I would really love is if we could sort of partner up (like a pen pal) with native speakers on Skype. That way we can have actual conversations, rather than just listening to dialogue. Is there a Facebook group for this sort of thing?

    Hey Maramheis,

What level are you at? I could potentially converse.

I am a beginner. I studied on my own, but it was all written. There were written directions explaining how the sounds were pronounced but that really did not help me much. What I would love is for someone who already has some knowledge of at least basic conversations/words/phrases who can teach me how to say them, and then once I get the pronunciation right we can practice conversations.

    Haigh Derek,

Ní bhíonn mórán ag tarlú thart anseo na laethanta seo, leis an bhfírinne a inseacht. Agus lena chois sin, tá an chuma ar an scéal le cupla mí anuas gur mise an t-aon Éireannach amháin anseo. Tá cupla fóram eile ann a bhfuil níos gníomhaí. Molaim dhuit daltaí.com nó boards.ie nó a leithéidí sin a thriail. Tiocfaidh tú ar dhuine nó dhó as do cheantarsa ann, seans.

    Go n-éirí an t-adh leat!

Dia daoibh ! Great idea, Michelle!!

Ok, folks, I know a little Irish . I think I'm the only one here that's learning the Ulster dialect though. 😊

But I'll still post here so I won't forget what I know and it's fun meet other learners too 😁
