How to display English and Irish text on
- After you’ve purchased Buntús Cainte for iPod, iPhone and iPad, you’ll download a zip file called Talk Irish – Buntús Cainte Book 1.zip. It contains all 60 lessons as MP3 files. It will usually appear in your Downloads folder. Double-click the zip file to extract the files.
- Launch iTunes. In the File menu, choose Add to library. Select the Talk Irish – Buntús Cainte Book 1 folder in your Downloads folder. Click Choose to import the files to iTunes.
- Connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad to your computer and click the Sync button in iTunes. Once it’s updated, you’re all set to learn Irish on the go!
- After you’ve purchased Buntús Cainte for iPod, iPhone and iPad, you’ll download a zip file called Talk Irish – Buntús Cainte Book 1.zip. It contains all 60 lessons as MP3 files. It will usually appear in your Downloads folder. Right-click the file and choose Extract All to unzip it.
- Launch iTunes. In the File menu, choose Add folder to library. Select the Talk Irish – Buntús Cainte Book 1 folder in your Downloads folder. Click Select Folder to import the files to iTunes.
- Connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad to your computer and click the Sync button in iTunes. Once it’s updated, you’re all set to learn Irish on the go!
On your device, look for the
Buntús Cainte album. If you’re browsing by artist, look for
Talk Irish.
Click the lesson you want to play. When the lesson is playing, click the middle button until you see the text. You usually click it 4 or 5 times, depending on your iPod model. You can scroll through the text using the scroll-wheel.
Click the lesson you want to play. When the lesson is playing, tap the album cover to view the lesson lyrics.
Due to a bug introduced by Apple in iOS 5, lyrics can no longer be displayed on iPads running this
OS. Contact buntuscainte@talkirish.com if you need more information. Note that this issue affects iPads only. iPhone and iPod touch devices running iOS 5 can still display lyrics normally.
Instructions for iOS 3 and 4: Click the lesson you want to play. When the lesson is playing in full screen, tap the screen to view the lesson lyrics.
