    Teaghlach means the entire family or household, all the members of the family, parents and children. But clann would refer only to the children of the family. That's in the west of Ireland. Can't speak for Munster or Ulster Irish though.

    Clann - the children in a family

     

    However in Munster Clann can mean both family and children of a family
