    Thanks for telling me about BYKI. Just looked them up and I'm going to give it a bash.... What's better it is free, too. The old pennies don't go very far these days, so free stuff does help. Like yourself I want to speak the language fluently. My grandmother was from Cork but never spoke any Gaelic. Slan

    Michelle - I am in Hertfordshire. I am way past school age so I think taking Irish GCSE would be difficult for me to achieve. I would need to find somewhere that taught it and then find someway of getting tuition in the evenings (I work all day). Another solution will find its way to me. :)

    I am a newbie, too, who is starting out learning Irish....I have Irish in my ancestry both sides of my family.

    I am new to the site, but I am also looking for good ways of learning the language and I can comisserate with Tentaclezoom, starting Irish from scratch seems daunting, but I am looking at words every day to try and learn a new one...
