Simply keep your finger pressed on the letter you need to use a fada with. Your iPhone or iPad will display the extended keyboard, which gives you lots of options to choose from:

iOS lets you install and use a number of different keyboards on your iPhone or iPad. I have French and English installed on mine, which is incredibly useful when I'm typing in either language (autocorrect!).

The bad news is there's no Irish keyboard. If you have 'autocorrect' turned on, then your iPhone or iPad will 'correct' your Irish to English, which is frustrating. And it will underline all your Irish words in red, which is ugly. I haven't found any solutions - but would love to hear from anyone who has!
