I was just watching the move "Apollo 13". At the beginning of the film, they show the July 1969 lunar landing of Apollo 11 and Neil Armstrong's first step onto the lunar surface. His statement was, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

So it got me thinking, what would Armstrong's quote be if translated to Irish? And I thought I would give it a try. So here goes:

Is ea seo cèim beag le fear, léim mór le daoine.

So, it does not sound quite so poetic.... Ant thoughts, comments, questions, suggestions?
